JACK TRACY ENTERS HIS GOLD ERA WITH A NEW LP AND FIRST CONCERT

September 23, 2022 – Pop/R&B recording artist Jack Tracy is back with his first LP since 2019, “Gold”.  The genre-hopping, 13-track opus harkens back to the heyday of albums, including interconnecting interludes that stitch together the Gold’s overall message of stepping into one’s power.  To celebrate the album’s release, Jack will launch his first solo concert tour Alchemy at City Winery NYC on Sunday October 2.  Tickets are available here

Preceded by singles “None Tonight” and  “Tired of Being Lonely”, Gold hits all streaming services on September 23.  The album was released earlier this month exclusively to Jack’s OnlyFans

“Gold is my best work, hands down,” Jack lauds his new LP.  “I titled the album Gold for that reason, and because the title track really captures my life story and musical journey to date–that ‘the road isn’t paved in gold.’”

After a brief intro, the album kicks off with a pop flare starting with a declaration of his power as a performer with Fire, followed by more bravado in Magnetized where he sings about emerging from a breakup supercharged and magnetized.  The album then takes a surprising detour into indie rock–new ground for Jack–with a celebration of bachelorhood in Independent Folk before closing off the album’s first act with the sassy yet heartfelt midtempo bop Too Much.  Stopping in Motown with the first single None Tonight, the album ventures into melancholy with Gold, where Jack warns his former self about the road ahead.  The brooding continues on the second single Tired of Being Lonely and finally into the Robyn-esque Body Control where Jack attempts to recapture the heights of a former relationship through sex.  The album concludes again with Motown where Jack explains his evolution and promises to return even stronger on Best of Me.  Remastered versions of his previous singles Close and It’s Time serve as bonus tracks.

“We’ve all been through a lot in the last few years, I’ve just decided to put my trials and triumphs into song,” Jack says of his motivation behind the Gold album.  “I have always written from my personal experiences, and always will, so I want people to come away from the album with the sense that you can take your hardships and turn them into Gold.  This message also inspired the name of the supporting concert, Alchemy.”

Gold will receive a proper celebration in the form of a new 90-minute concert tour, Alchemy, debuting at City Winery in New York City on Sunday, October 2nd, with additional dates and cities to be announced.  “I feel like I’m training for a marathon,” Jack says about preparing for Alchemy.  “It’s my arena tour level show with dancers and multiple costume changes, performing the entirety of Gold and many tracks and medlies pulled from my back catalog.  I think I only leave the stage twice during the whole concert so right now I’m doing everything I can to build up my stamina.  I expect the adrenaline to take care of most of that.”
