it may be a couple weeks late but we just recently caught sight of funny or die housed webisode 36 of gay in the uk, a hilarious video series featuring all things gay across the pond. just like most british humour, you can expect the driest of wit and some awesomely offensive banter between tim and ryan, the show’s hosts of the series.
HOMOVISION welcomes Gay in the UK! Hello!
Tim and Ryan are your guides to what is gay, um, in the UK.
This episode is a film special. Tim goes to the 24th London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, but there is a decidedly global theme, with reviews of “Plan B” (Argentina), “Stonewall Uprising” (USA), interviews from the director and twin actors of “Give Me Your Hand” (France). Plus Ryan tells us how to get our hands on “Strawberry and Chocolate” (Cuba), and an idiots guide to finding gay cinema.
Flying the flag for Britain they have two trailers of new films from Rikki Beadle-Blair. “Kick Off” deals with the very current topic of homophobia in football, while “FIT” addresses the youth obsession with “gay” as a pejorative term.
We also hear from Andrew Pierce of The Daily Mail, as to why the the London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival is so important, and Tim shoots some shaky footage of the never ending parties he attended (strictly in the name of journalism).
Look out too for a pair of very confused Italians!
