the past couple months have been amazing for chauncey…playing weekly in the east village every thursday night @ woody’s. unfortunately, it was time to move on and thursday, november 18th was the very last sodomighty party (at that location). here is an almost two hour set recorded live that will take you on a wild sonic journey that struggles to not tell you a story. like every dj chauncey d set, nothing is planned and the spontaneity of a live set is where he shines the most, taking you in one direction and then successfully yanking you in a completely different one. he mixes genres as often as he mixes beats. its mountains and valleys are filled with hard hitting house and techno as well as soulful jazzy house and disco funk. the catharsis is a rollercoaster ride of magical music and bleeps in true dj chauncey d style and sleazy sophistication. we hope you enjoy releasing yourself and letting go of all your frustrations on your very own dance floor!
