22 years ago on Sunday, August 5th, 1990, The Blond Ambition Tour aired on HBO and Z100 LIVE simultaneously. On vacation with his family, without cable access, a very young Chauncey listened to the entire show with no visuals to associate with the most talked about pop concert of the year. Having recorded the show on VHS back at home while away, he had to wait almost two full weeks before he could watch the show and match the audio ingrained in his memory with the visuals. Already a Madonna superfan, this moment in Madonna history pushed Chauncey way over the ‘borderline” into megafan lunacy, a glorious ailment that has remained with him to this day.
